In a distant future, a tyrannical inter-planetary government, powered by advanced AI and rare minerals, has seized control of the galaxy. This dictatorship holds a monopoly on the precious resources that fuel all technology and weaponry, leaving the populace defenseless.
The Rebel Alliance discovers that the same minerals the government hoards are found within space-faring asteroids, and begins a covert mining operation. In a desperate effort to maintain power, the dictators deploy a new fleet of ships to hunt down and destroy these mineral-rich asteroids, starving the Rebellion of its lifeblood. In this game, you are the pilot of a government ship, tasked with a scorched-earth mission to pulverize the asteroids and deny the Rebels their vital resources. The 'enemy' ships are not antagonists; they are the brave pilots of the Rebel Alliance, trying to stop you.
